Volunteers collect 1000 backpacks of propagandize reserve for children in need

South Salem-based Front of a Class’ collected 1,000 backpacks for children in-need during a “Backpack Brigade” that took place Sunday, Jun 7.

The brigade was done adult of 25 volunteers from Katonah, Lewisboro and Danbury (Conn.) with a backpacks being sent to kids in upstate New York, as good as in Westchester and Fairfield Counties.

Students from John Jay Youth Lacrosse, a John Jay Futbol Club and their families were among a volunteers, who helped things a backpacks with propagandize supplies.

The bags be distributed to low-income children in a Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Rome, Camden, Adirondack, Poughkeepsie, Bedford, and Danbury propagandize districts.

The backpacks will be delivered to a students before a start of a subsequent propagandize year.

The module is saved by grants from companies and their foundations, with many donations and grants limited for specific propagandize districts.

Front of a Class President Bill McCormick pronounced a fundraising will continue via a summer.

“We’re going to continue to fundraise for this module by a finish of a summer in a wish that we can double a series of backpacks we deliver,” McCormick pronounced in a press release.

But McCormick pronounced even if they are means to double their efforts and have twice a series of backpacks, a need still exceeds what they can provide.
