Supplying for success: Local groups present reserve to Lawhon students

TUPELO – Two internal organizations teamed adult to give students in need uninformed propagandize reserve to start their second division of a propagandize year off on a right foot.
The Tupelo alumni chapters of Delta Sigma Theta sorority and Omega Psi Phi companionship donated 28 backpacks filled with pencils, erasers, art supplies, paper and other reserve to Lawhon Elementary School.
They presented administrators during a propagandize with a backpacks on Wednesday morning.
The backpacks will be distributed to students according to need by teachers and counselors during a school.
Lealue “Sha” Triplett, clergyman during Pierce Street Elementary and boss of a Tupelo section of Delta Sigma Theta, pronounced a organisation is always looking for ways to offer a community.
The organisation has connectors to internal schools. Several members learn during schools opposite a district and a few of them learn during Lawhon.
Having that background, Triplett said, helped them come adult with a thought to present propagandize reserve mid-year, as many members know first-hand that students mostly need to modernise their reserve after Christmas break.
