Staff Council pitches in for community

Staff Council’s Networking/Campus Engagement Committee once again participated in Coats for Colorado by gift mixed sites on both campuses where coats could be forsaken off. In Oct and November, a bid collected 532 coats – distant leading a 325 coats collected in tumble 2016.
Last summer, a cabinet launched a propagandize reserve expostulate in partnership with a CU Anschutz Community-Campus Partnership (CCP). In team-work with Aurora Public Schools (APS), a groups chose as target a APS Welcome Center, that assists newcomer and interloper families in a metro area. Staff Council and CCP set adult collection bins opposite both campuses and collected over 500 items, including backpacks, lunchboxes, pens, crayons, notebooks and more.
Looking ahead, Staff Council has some-more overdo efforts designed in 2018.
Due to a strenuous response perceived final year, a organisation has indifferent an whole week – Feb. 12-16 – to proffer during Food Bank of a Rockies. The beginning ties in with CU in a Community, an annual eventuality for CU employees to spend 4 work hours volunteering for a gift of their choice.
