Six months after his mother died, 82-year-old Dan Peterson was during a grocery store when a small lady altered his life for a better.

As he was impending a finish of a canned unfeeling aisle during a internal Publix, a 4-year-old lady named Norah Wood tapped him on a shoulder.

“She stood adult and said, ‘Hi aged person, it’s my birthday today’” her mom, Tara, said.

She demanded a hug.

“I said, ‘A hug?!’ we said, ‘Absolutely!’” Dan said.

Norah got her cuddle and afterwards asked her mom to take a design of her with her new friend.

“She zeroed in on him like a missile. And she didn’t wish anything from him,” Tara said. “She only wanted to make him feel desired and give him a hug. And his small mouth quivered and he was teared adult and it was only sweet.”

“And we said, ‘You don’t know. This is a initial time, for utterly a while, that I’ve been this happy,’” Dan said.

And a story doesn’t end there. As CBS News’ Steve Hartman reported, Norah now visits at slightest once a week.
