Organization Helps Kids In Need Get School Supplies

YANKTON, S.D. – From notebooks to backpacks, The Yankton United Way is assisting kids in need get prepared for class.
“School reserve can be unequivocally costly for families who aren’t struggling. But families who competence be struggling, it can be crippling. This expostulate is unequivocally critical for families that competence need propagandize reserve for this year,” Tara Bartekoske said.
While this is a second year that a Yankton United Way has finished a “Stuff The Bus” propagandize supply drive, this is a initial year that they’ve partnered with Walmart.
“We unequivocally like to support a community, a teachers, local schools, so we motionless to do ‘Stuff The Bus’. We’re unequivocally excited,” Walmart manager Katie Underberg said.
Tara Bartekoske with a Yankton United Way says a classification wants to set adult each child to attain in a classroom.
“Our goal during United Ways is to change lives and urge a community. One of a ways we do that is by compelling educational programs. We feel that when students and girl are versed for success, afterwards we as a village are versed for a successful future,” Bartekoske said.
And Yankton residents are happy to help, one pencil or folder during a time.
“They don’t have to be singled out if maybe they don’t have certain things. They can come out and start like everybody else,” Stacey Renken said.
