Nassau Bahamas Alumnae Chapter Donates School Supplies

As
a partial of a educational growth thrust, a Nassau Bahamas Alumnae
Chapter (NBAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. donated about 400 school
bags filled with reserve to internal schools within a past month. The items
were collected during a Sorority’s Southern Regional Conference in Jul 2014,
and was a partial of a Southern Region’s International Awareness and Involvement
efforts.

Most
recently, a propagandize reserve were presented to students and expertise at
Palmdale Primary, SC McPherson, St Cecilia’s School, Queens College and the
Englerston West Urban Renewal Centre. Each propagandize package was filled with such
items as novels, notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, flashcards and other
essentials for today’s immature scholar.

According
to a Chapter President, Jeunesse Osadebay-Bullard, a Nassau Bahamas Alumnae
Chapter has always kept a beat on a inhabitant needs of a girl and will
continue to work with amicable and polite leaders to extent their amicable and
economic setbacks: “In a past, our
chapter has hosted several village programs that aim Bahamian girl from
an array of socio-economic backgrounds. We will never demur from that
undertaking—this is a inhabitant oath to this nation as Deltas,”

Among
those programs is a PACE Foundation, to that NABC recently committed to
assisting with a refurbishment of a new home. The new trickery will educate
and rehabilitate dozens of teen mothers.

Osadebay-Bullard
added that identical donations would be done from a collegiate arm, Upsilon
Zeta during a College of a Bahamas and a Grand Bahama Alumnae Chapter in
Freeport, Grand Bahama as a chapters harmonize their efforts.

Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority is a open service, non-for-profit classification that was
founded to foster educational value and those in need. An act exemplified by
its 22 collegiate founders during Howard University; an act that continues through
its over 350,000 membership that paint 1,000 collegiate and alumnae
chapters around a world.
