Donate School Supplies to Needy Children during Huntington Station Drop-Off

Hundreds of needy children in Suffolk County will accept code new backpacks filled with propagandize reserve during a finish of a summer. But first, these backpacks need to be filled.
Huntington residents can dump off propagandize reserve during Legislator Lou D’Amaro’s office, during 130 West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station, before Aug 10.
Items indispensable include:
- 4 oz Elmer’s Glue
- Glue Sticks
- Fiskars Children’s Scissors
- Wide Thin Crayola Washable Markers
- Folders with pockets
- Colored Pencils
- Composition Notebooks
- Pencil cases
- Index cards and boxes
- Pencil sharpeners
- Erasable pens
- Book covers
- Baby wipes
- Ziploc Bags (sandwich and gallon sizes)
The kids, ages 6 to 17, will get these backpacks in Suffolk County after this summer.
Event invitations will be sent to needy children during homeless shelters, internal bishopric outreaches and to families during Department of Labor sites opposite Suffolk County.
The tenth annual “Back Pack Pirates” Drive will be hold interjection to The Long Island Coalition for a Homeless who partnered with Holiday Magic, Every Child’s Dream and a Suffolk County Legislature.
The children will spend a day during Dorothy P Flint 4-H Camp in Riverhead and will get to suffer stay activities like value hunts, swimming, inlet games, a grill lunch and more.
“These needy children don’t mostly get a possibility to knowledge this form of adventure,” pronounced Legislator D’Amaro in a statement. “It will be a fun and educational eventuality and each member gets to travel divided with a cold behind container filled with reserve they will need for school. we am once again seeking a internal village to come out and easily support this good program.”
