ANN ARBOR, MI – There’s still time to present propagandize reserve and personal hygiene equipment for homeless students in Washtenaw County.

A school supply drive put on by a Washtenaw Intermediate School District’s Education Project, with support from The Ann Arbor News and MLive, will continue by Friday, Aug. 19.

Items can be forsaken off between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday by Friday during The Ann Arbor News, 111 N. Ashley St., and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday by Friday during a WISD Teaching and Learning Center, 1819 S. Wagner Road.

Each year, Washtenaw County schools teach about 1,200 homeless students, who might be vital in shelters, cars, parks or doubled adult with other family members or friends. The Education Project connects families experiencing homelessness with internal resources that can assistance them find some-more fast housing and yield financial assistance.

The Education Project also assists schools in providing services to students but fast housing, and – by a partnership with a Ozone House – is operative to offer some-more extensive box government services for students.

Having new propagandize reserve to start a 2016-17 propagandize year is one reduction thing for those families to worry about.

In 2015, MLive’s propagandize supply expostulate for a Education Project collected 163 backpacks, 152 packs of cover paper, 128 rulers, 25 toothbrushes, 20 tubes of toothpaste, 15 packs of underwear, 10 packs of hosiery and $300 in present cards, among other items.

The donations helped 200 students, pronounced Sarah Hierman, grants manager for a WISD.
