Community Members Donate Over 18000 School Supplies

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Community members are assisting students via southern Oregon.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted a village propagandize supply expostulate on Saturday.
Together, Church and village members from Medford, Gold Hill, Central Point, Eagle Point, Jacksonville and White City donated over 18,000 propagandize supply items. These reserve will go to assistance support a students of a Central Point and Eagle Point School Districts.
“District 6 serves a different tyro race that includes many students in poverty,” Samantha Steele, Superintendent for Central Point School District 6, said. “These students infrequently need all from dishes and garments to propagandize reserve and toiletries and we’re advantageous to live in a village who supports a students in need to yield these essential items. Whether it’s a kindergarten student’s initial box of crayons or a high propagandize student’s shampoo and soap, donated reserve residence a surpassing hurdles that can keep students from success. “

In further to a normal propagandize reserve we see pictured, there were also over 100 sets of headphones donated. The Eagle Point School district uses tablets in their classrooms, and these headphones assistance students work but distractions.

- Over 4,500 crayons
- 246 glue sticks
