Employee volunteers of a Ayala-led Cebu Holdings, Inc. (CHI), in partnership with a Sto. Niño de Cebu Augustinian Social Development Foundation (SNAF) and Asia Pro Cooperative, distributed puncture life bags and propagandize reserve to residents of Kinatarcan Island, Daanbantayan in northern Cebu final May 21.

Kinatarcan Island is one of a goal territories of SNAF.

Ninety-five percent of a structures on a island were broken during supertyphoon Yolanda in 2013.

CHI volunteers, with a assistance of Fr. Tito Soquiño, OSA of SNAF and Asia Pro, partnered with 3 barangays in Kinatarcan to strech out to 200 families and 150 students.

They conducted a training event to supply residents with believe on disaster readiness.

The residents, among them fisherfolk, were taught simple rescuing skills, glow building, simple palm signals and simple tangle tying.

“We wish to support a Kinatarcan Island Development (KID) Plan. We are also here to foster disaster willingness among a fisherfolk and residents on a island, generally given they were badly strike by a gale dual years ago,” pronounced Vera Alejandria, CHI’s corporate amicable shortcoming and sustainability manager.

Two hundred Ayala Life Bags from Ayala Center Cebu were distributed to a families as starter kits. Each bag contained water, whistle, flashlight, swiss blade and a rope.

The Life Bag is also waterproof and expansive on water, that can also be used as a life saving apparatus during floods.

Some 150 students on a island also perceived propagandize supplies. Each set contained notebooks, pencils, sharpener and a cosmetic envelope.

CHI, by AsiaPro, also oriented immature group for probable practice in construction projects in Ayala Center Cebu.
