Brooks Middle opens propagandize store

QUITMAN — Students and expertise can now emporium during Brooks County Middle School. 

BCMS hold a grand-opening rite for a propagandize store Wednesday. 

Kendall Blankumsee, business and mechanism science teacher and BCMS Future Business Leaders of America advisor, pronounced students will take on a operation of a store. Future Business Leaders of America members and students enrolled in business and mechanism scholarship classes will work during a store, that includes behaving exchange with all customers, he said.

“I was looking to incorporate a plan for my students that would confederate mixed curriculum areas with a real-world context,” Blankumsee pronounced in a statement. “The propagandize store does all of that – and a students adore a concept.”

Blankumsee pronounced a store will be open during a propagandize day, and students, relatives and village members are speedy to revisit any time between 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. to peruse items, such as propagandize supplies, propagandize attire and some of a students’ favorite snacks.

The Brooks County High School store, that has been open for about 7 years, provides some new products, which include Trojan track blankets, beanies, jaunty socks, tumblers, H2O bottles and more. 

Natalie Foster, a selling preparation clergyman during Brooks High, pronounced a store is managed by students, providing them work experience. 

She pronounced students name merchandise, do mark-ups and mark-downs, run a register and more. She pronounced students also consult students and teachers to brand what they wish in a store

Student Manager Jaquese Silas, 18, is a comparison during BCHS whose daily tasks in a store embody checking register and balancing a register. 

Silas pronounced his goals after graduating in May embody going to college for a grade in management. 

“This will get me genuine knowledge with management,” Silas pronounced of operative during a propagandize store. 

BCMS is located at 2171 Moultrie Road, Quitman. BCHS is located at 1801 Moultrie Road, Quitman.
